Attorney Byron R. Berry attended Texas Tech University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting in 1978. He then went on to earn a degree in law from South Texas College of Law in 1982. In addition to his legal certification, Mr. Berry is a Certified Public Accountant, as licensed by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. Mr. Berry's practice is specialized in the areas of personal injury, business, corporations, probate, and estate planning. He is licensed to practice in the United States District Courts of the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, as well as in all Texas Courts.
He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Denton and Cook County Bar Associations, and the United States Bankruptcy Bar (Eastern District of Texas). He also holds membership in the Denton County Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Dallas Chapter. Mr. Berry also assists the Denton Independent School District by presiding over school-related discipline hearings, provides delinquent tax collection for Denton County, and serves as general counsel for the Denton County MHMR.
Mr. Berry is also involved in a variety of local and regional civic organizations. He is on the Steering Committees for Gainesville Adopt-A-School and Leadership Gainesville and serves as Director for the Cooke County Youth Center, the Lake Forest Good Samaritan Village Advisory Board, and the North Central Texas College Foundation Advisory Board. He also coaches boys' baseball and football at the Cooke County Youth Center, is the past president of Rotary, and provides legal counsel to Ann's Haven Hospice.
