Attorney Hugh Coleman graduated from Trinity University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1990 before continuing his studies at the University of Tulsa School of Law, from which he received his law degree in 1994.

He practices is the areas of general litigation, employment law, municipal law, and government practice, and is licensed to practice law in all Texas State Courts, the United States Court of Appeals 5th Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas.

Mr. Coleman's past experience includes serving as an Assistant County Attorney for El Paso County, Texas, from 1995 to 1998 and as Assistant Criminal District Attorney and Counsel to the Denton County Sheriff's Office from 1999 to 2006. In his work in El Paso County, he provided legal advise and defense for not only the county itself, but also for its Commissioners Court, Sheriff's Office, and other county agencies. In his work with Denton County, he provided legal advise and representation for the county and Sheriff's office in regard to employment, civil rights, negligence claims, drafting policies and contracts, and providing guidance in criminal cases.
