Attorney Jason A. Burris graduated from Texas A&M University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in History in 2002. He then continued his studies at South Texas College of law, from which he received his law degree in 2005.
Mr. Burris practices in the ares of consumer law, landlord and tenant relations, business and corporate law, real estate, collections, partnerships, and construction law. He holds membership in the State Bar of Texas since 2005, and also is a member of the American Bar Association and the Denton County Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas, as well as in all Texas State courts.
Mr. Burris's campus and community involvement during his education at Texas A&M include Child Evangelical Fellowship, Young Life, and T Bar M Camp on Lake Travis. While in law school, he was Secretary of the Aggie Law Student Association and participated in the Pro Bono Honor's Program (ABA Student Division) and the Currents International Trade law Journal. He has also participated in the Leroy Jeffers Intramural Moot Court Competition, Intramural Mock Trial Competition, and the T. Gerald Treece Summer Mock Trial Academy.
His work experience prior to joining Hayes, Berry, White & Vanzant includes serving as a clerk in the First Court of Appeals (Houston, Texas) and the Executive Office of Immigration Review (Dallas, Texas). He was also city Municipal Prosecutor for Hickory Creek, Sanger, and Krugerville, Texas.
