Attorney Philip Mack Furlow is a graduate of Eureka College, where he was a Ronald W. Reagan Scholar and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1990. He then pursued legal studies at the Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he received his law degree in 1994. There, he also participated in the Moot Court Board and was a member of the Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership Class VII.
Mr. Furlow focuses his practice in the areas of family law, oil and gas litigation, agricultural law, and DWI cases. He is licensed to practice law in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas as well as in all Texas State Courts.
From 2000-2002, Mr. Furlow served on the Board of Directors for the Lubbock County Young Lawyers Association, and he has been highly involved in the Texas Young Lawyer Association (TYLA). He was involved in the authoring, editing and acting of "Hangin' Out Your Shingle: Things to Consider Before Starting Your Own Practice," a video which won Best Project in Service to the Bar from the American Bar Association. Other involvement in TYLA included sitting on the Board of Directors (2001-2001), earning the TYLA President's Award (2002), Chairing the Small law Office Committee (2002), Co-chairing the Member Services Committee (2003), and being nominated for TYLA Vice President in 2003 and President in 2004.
His professional accomplishments include membership in the State Bar of Texas, in which he served on the Starting Law Practices Task Force from 2004 to 2005. He was the President of the Lamesa Bar Association from 2004 to 2005 and the Chairman of the State Bar of Texas's Law Practice Management Committee from 2005 to 2006. He has been a presenter at the State Bar Leaders Conference in 2002 and the new Lawyer Course in both 2004 and 2005. He is also a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
